Job Description

Description We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Glendora, California. This is a Contract-to-long-term position where you will gain hands-on experience in mutual fund administration and client servicing. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and offers opportunities to develop expertise in compliance, reporting, and fund management. Responsibilities: - Monitor mutual fund holdings to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, prospectus disclosures, and organizational requirements. - Assist in preparing monthly liquidity reports and fair valuation records. - Compile and review required information for registration statements and related documentation. - Support the preparation of income estimates and memos for fund distributions. - Review statistical data and fund factsheets for accuracy and submission to industry tracking organizations. - Prepare reports for board books and coordinate proxy voting filings. - Manage startup activities for new funds, including obtaining necessary identifiers and registering funds with industry databases. - Collaborate on special projects to enhance fund administration processes. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat. - Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines efficiently. - Excellent communication and writing skills to deliver clear and concise information. - Capability to work independently and as part of a team. - Familiarity with mutual funds, registration statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. - At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
