ContiTech, a division of Continental, is one of the world's leading suppliers of technical elastomer products and is a specialist in plastics technology. ContiTech develops and produces functional parts, components, and systems for machine and plant engineering, mining, the automotive industry, and other important industries.
The Safford AZ location is seeking Belt Technicians to join our team.
+ Work in cooperation with ESH manager on current goals and expectations from within Continental.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. Including but not limited to OSHA, MSHA and DOT.
+ Monitor compliance with current ESH legislation, with Continental's internal regulations.
+ Support in the planning and execution of needed investments in occupational health and safety, environmental protection and fire prevention.
+ Manage emergencies and provide guidance on emergency response plans.
+ Participate in accident investigation and root cause analysis.
+ Assist in incident investigation and reporting.
+ Travel to jobsites to observe work being performed.
+ Report employee complaints regarding unsafe working conditions to Management.
+ Make recommendations on corrections for unsafe practices or conditions.
+ Lead employee safety meetings and training.
+ Assist with other duties as assigned.
1 to 3 years of experience in conveyor belt maintenance preferred
Up to 2 years of mining experience preferred.
