About the Role:
As a Clinical Intake Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for individuals seeking mental health treatment. Leveraging your deep clinical knowledge and understanding of the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health, you'll conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and develop personalized treatment recommendations. You'll collaborate closely with patients and our multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure a seamless and supportive experience.
Your Responsibilities:
Conduct Thorough Initial Evaluations: Perform comprehensive mental health assessments (90791s) for all new patients, utilizing your expertise in mental status examinations and screening tools.
Develop Personalized Treatment Plans: Become an expert on our diverse range of mental health services and collaborate with patients to create tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs.
Contribute to Clinical Excellence: Participate in clinical meetings, share insights, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our services.
Provide Therapy Coverage: Offer support to our therapy department as needed, demonstrating your versatility and commitment to patient care.
Engage in Continuous Learning: Participate in departmental training and collaborate with fellow treatment providers to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Maintain Ethical and Clinical Standards: Adhere to strict ethical and clinical guidelines, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Champion a Patient-Centered Approach: Demonstrate a genuine commitment to putting patients first, fostering a supportive and empathetic environment.
What We're Looking For:
A Master's degree in Social Work and a valid LMSW license in New York.
Proven experience in conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including mental status exams and the use of screening tools.
Proficiency in utilizing PHQ9 and GAD7 screening tools.
A strong understanding of the DSM-V.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
A passion for working with diverse populations, including adolescents and adults.
A commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusivity.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Position Details:
Type: Full-time, Exempt
Schedule: Hybrid work model. Monday-Thursday, 9am-7pm, with two days in-person.
Location: New York, NY.
