Job Description: Pricing and Analytics Strategy Consultant: Manager (Contractor Role)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Pricing and Analytics Consultant: Manager Level to support a strategic pricing and revenue analysis project. This contractor role will focus on assessing pricing capabilities, conducting comprehensive data analysis, and developing actionable recommendations to optimize the company's pricing model. The ideal candidate will excel in advanced Excel analytics and creating persuasive presentations using PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the company's current pricing strategies, capabilities, and processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct detailed data analysis to uncover insights into revenue and pricing trends.
• Perform segmentation analysis to identify pricing trends by product and variations across different markets.
• Analyze price sensitivity and elasticity to understand customer and market behavior.
• Use Pareto analysis and other statistical techniques to identify key pricing drivers and areas of focus.
• Synthesize findings and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize the pricing model.
• Create compelling and professional PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate data accuracy and ensure alignment with project goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in pricing analysis, revenue management, advanced analytics, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to perform complex analyses, use advanced formulas, and create data visualizations.
• Strong expertise in PowerPoint with the ability to design clear, visually appealing presentations that communicate insights effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills with experience in working with large datasets.
• Familiarity with statistical and analytical techniques such as price sensitivity analysis, Pareto analysis, and segmentation. Ability to identify trends and insights in data.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
• Nice to have skills: SQL or Python experience to provide guidance/support to data engineers in structuring analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in pricing strategy development, advanced analytics, or consulting projects.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Background in industries with complex pricing models is an advantage.
