POSITION TITLE: Digital Marketing Specialist

FTE: 1.0 (40hrs./week; 12-months)

DEPARTMENT: Marketing & Communications

REPORTS TO: Assistant Vice President for Marketing & Communications 

FLSA: Exempt

This position promotes and supports the learning experience of Marian University students by being responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our digital marketing strategies. Your expertise in Google Analytics, Google ad placement, geofencing, SEO, and retargeting will be crucial in optimizing our online campaigns. You will also create and execute paid advertising campaigns across various platforms including Google, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to drive engagement and growth.

• Manage and optimize Google Analytics and Google ad placements, including geofencing, SEO and retargeting techniques to maximize ROI and campaign effectiveness.

• Create and execute paid advertising campaigns across multiple platforms including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook.

• Shoot, edit and produce compelling video content and reels.

• Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts align with university goals and objectives.

• Stay updated with the latest digital marketing trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

• Conduct market research and analysis to understand market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviors, informing strategic decisions.

• Measure and report on digital marketing performance, delivering regular reports and actionable recommendations for enhancement.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years experience in Digital Marketing.

• Demonstrated expertise in both paid and organic SEO, PPC strategy and planning, email marketing nurture, cross-selling, and lead management campaigns.

• Expertise in Google ad placement, geofencing, SEO, and retargeting.

• Experience in creating and managing paid advertising campaigns on multiple platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and ability to analyze data and optimize campaigns.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Video shooting and editing skills.

• Experience working with mid and bottom funnel a plus

• Ability to stay current with industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
