Equi is seeking an exceptional investment professional to lead our manager due diligence process and oversee critical investment/operational responsibilities across our fund of funds and multi-strategy hedge fund platforms. This executive role encompasses two key areas of responsibility.
The first involves strategic leadership of our manager sourcing operations, where you'll work directly with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and investment leadership team. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing strategic frameworks as we scale our rapidly growing assets under management (AUM).
The second area focuses on managing the operational aspects of our investment vehicles, including liquidity management, portfolio allocation, and optimization across investment strategies. This includes ensuring optimal capital deployment, managing investment vehicle cash flows, and implementing strategic portfolio construction frameworks.

Lead and enhance our comprehensive due diligence framework for alternative investment managers, primarily focusing on hedge funds, hybrid strategies, and private credit
Direct all strategic aspects of our due diligence process including executive-level manager engagements, investment committee presentations, capital allocation decisions, and strategic planning
Oversee the comprehensive manager evaluation process including strategy assessment, team capability evaluation, portfolio construction methodology, risk management protocols, and organizational strength
Establish and maintain high-level industry relationships to create proprietary deal flow and strategic investment opportunities
Define and implement the strategic vision for our data-driven manager selection approach
Lead the investment prioritization process and capital allocation strategy
Direct our portfolio analytics and risk management systems including performance attribution methodologies, risk dashboards, and strategic exposure management
Develop comprehensive monitoring protocols for existing manager relationships, including performance evaluation, exposure analysis, and strategic alignment
Oversee liquidity management across fund structures, ensuring optimal cash positioning and redemption capacity
Direct portfolio construction and optimization processes to achieve target risk/return profiles while maintaining appropriate diversification
Manage capital allocation decisions across investment strategies and vehicles
Partner with C-suite executives to align investment strategy with overall corporate objectives
Collaborate with legal and compliance leadership to establish governance frameworks for investment vehicles and external manager relationships
Work strategically with product and engineering leadership to develop proprietary technology platforms for portfolio management, liquidity forecasting, and risk analytics
Lead portfolio optimization decisions and strategic capital allocation across investment strategies
Provide executive guidance on new product development initiatives
Partner with sales, operations, finance, legal and compliance on strategic product launches
Serve as an investment thought leader representing the firm with key stakeholders
Work with fund administrators and custodians to ensure seamless operational execution
3-5+ years of progressive experience evaluating alternative investments, with significant focus on hedge funds or liquid alternatives, either as a senior allocator (fund of funds, hedge fund, pension plan, family office, etc.) or in a director-level advisor/consultant role
3-5+ years of experience in portfolio management, risk, liquidity management, or trading
Proven track record of successful capital allocation decisions and manager selection
Deep understanding of fund structures, liquidity terms, and operational requirements across alternative investment vehicles
Experience managing complex portfolio construction and optimization processes
Superior analytical capabilities and exceptional executive communication skills
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience building and managing high-performing investment teams
Strategic vision with the ability to influence across organizational levels
Strong technology experience or computer science background a huge plus
Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
CFA, CAIA designation a plus
