Job Title: Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Service Line Manager

Location: Gillette, WY area
Job Summary:
The Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Service Line Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, financial performance, compliance, and strategic direction of the DME service line within a healthcare organization. This role ensures the effective delivery of medical equipment to patients, regulatory adherence, customer service excellence, and operational efficiency. The manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, vendors, and healthcare providers to optimize service quality and profitability.
Supervises: N/A (As department expands, this position will have direct reports)
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Education
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Preferred Certifications/Licenses:
Certified Durable Medical Equipment Specialist (CDME)
Accredited in Medical Equipment Compliance (AMEC)
Certified DME Specialist (CMS)
E xperience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in durable medical equipment management or a related healthcare service line.
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
Experience in managing payroll, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes
Exemplary history of financial project management
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, and moving around warehouses, offices, and patient care environments. Occasional bending, kneeling, and/or squatting when inspecting equipment or assisting with logistics. May require lifting and carrying medical equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. Pushing, pulling, or maneuvering wheeled equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, hospital beds, oxygen tanks). Using computers, tablets, and electronic inventory systems to manage orders and documentation. Handling tools and small components when assembling or inspecting medical equipment. Prolonged use of computers for financial management, compliance tracking, and communication. Data entry, report writing, and reviewing contracts may require sustained attention to detail. May require travel to different healthcare facilities, supplier locations, or patient homes.
Driving or commuting between locations, sometimes in unpredictable weather conditions.
Working Environment
Office and warehouse setting with occasional patient home visits.
Frequent interaction with patients, vendors, and healthcare providers.
Requires adaptability to shifting priorities and urgent requests.
