Master Diesel Mechanic (18-Wheelers)

Location: East Houston Area (77029)

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Up to $50 per flag hour, with a guaranteed $1500/wk.

We take pride in delivering exceptional service and ensuring our customers' fleets remain in peak condition. We are currently seeking an experienced Master Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and certified diesel mechanic who specializes in 18-wheelers and provides comprehensive maintenance and repair services from bumper to bumper. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience, diagnostic expertise, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform full-service maintenance and repairs on 18-wheelers, including engine diagnostics, transmission repairs, brake systems, electrical systems, and suspension components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Repair and replace defective components, including fuel, cooling, exhaust, and steering mechanisms.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify potential mechanical failures before they occur.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and provide mentorship to junior mechanics if needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a diesel mechanic specializing in 18-wheelers.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, CDL, OEM certifications) preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and experience using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Proficiency in repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other major truck components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Must own a basic set of tools (specialty tools provided by the company).
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
