This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

This temporary position is located in Greenville, NC - Pitt County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $15.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 2577 W 5th Street, Greenville, NC 27834.

An employee in this position performs a variety of manual activities cleaning and maintaining buildings. The employee performs a wide variety of duties in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules. The employee in this position cleans and maintains various types of floor surfaces.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities / Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of established cleaning procedures and techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of purpose and application of products and equipment used in a cleaning operation.
  • Basic knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to arrange items and/or actions in certain orders or patterns according to specific rules or sets of rules (i.e. patterns of numbers, letters, pictures and materials).
