Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team at Accutrol. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes meet quality standards and are efficient and cost-effective. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, reduce waste, and enhance manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, quality assurance methodologies, and manufacturing processes.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities - Maintain and continuously improve our ISO9001:2015 QMS.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve safety, and improve product quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformities and quality issues.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality of new products.
- Perform regular audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
- Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on quality standards and best practices.
- Prepare and present reports on quality metrics, process improvements, and project status to management.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to manufacturing and quality assurance.
- Interface with outside vendors to determine product specifications: coordinate purchase of equipment, materials, and/or parts; evaluate products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- All other related duties as required.
Knowledge And Skills Requirement - Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis, FMEA, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with CAD/SolidWorks software and manufacturing process simulation tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
- ERP System experience – ECI/Macola is a plus.
Education And Experience Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing and/or quality engineering.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
