Astroscale U.S. Inc. is looking for a  Legal Intern to join us for Summer 2025 . All summer internships are paid and nominally run from May to September in Denver, CO or Washington, DC. 

Job Description

  • Under the direction of the General Counsel and Sr. Corporate Counsel, support corporate and space law needs across in-house legal domains (regulatory compliance, contracts, IP, space policy, etc.).
  • Review contracts, bids and proposals, and internal documents and records.
  • Perform legal research, analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and draft legal memoranda.
  • Support implementation of corporate, national security, and regulatory compliance procedures and draft internal guidance materials (including evaluation of legal and compliance tools, procedures, and best practices).
  • Assist Policy teams with space policy legislation and regulatory research and analysis.
  • Support external engagements, including presentations, speaker notes, and other logistics.
  • Gain experience from and interact with team members across policy, government relations, program management, engineering, business development, business operations, and marketing & communications.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a Juris Doctor (JD) degree program from an accredited law school in the United States.
  • Coursework, training, or experience related to your internship.
  • Fantastic communication skills: oral and written.
