Ehrhardt Automation Systems of Granite City, Illinois is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our Special Machines Department. The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repairs of custom manufacturing equipment and automation systems. The ideal candidate can work either independently or on a team, is experienced with working from assembly/ detail drawings, proficient with the use of precision measurement tools, and has a strong mechanical aptitude.
5:30am-2pm, Monday- Friday
$25-$27/ hour

REQUIREMENTS
-Read and interpret detail and assembly blueprints
-Read and understand Bill of Materials to organize parts, sub-assemblies, tools and materials needed to -complete a task
-Ability to assemble components by examining for correct fit and function using correct fasteners, machined and commercial details
-Ability to verify specifications of assemblies by measuring completed components to exact dimensions utilizing precision measurement tools
-Maintains safe and clean/organized working environment
-Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related tasks to achieve our group’s goals when needed
-Understands mechanical motions and principles
-Engineering thought process (not just the result of a mechanical motion, but the actions and steps required to produce that motion)
-Knowledge and ability to operate basic hand and power tools safely and accurately
-Ability to travel occasionally as needed
