Job Description

Keliomics is a Portland-headquartered biotech company. Since 2022, we have paid interns to assist with surgical biospecimen collection under IRB-approved protocols. We are currently hiring 2-3 paid interns for this role. In this role, you will:

• Interface with community surgeons whose patients donate discard tissues under an IRB-approved protocol
• Obtain informed consent from tissue donors
• Transport tissues to our facility at 4640 South Macadam, Portland, OR
• Each tissue donation (surgery) requires 4-6 hours of time. Surgeries often start at 7am, so interns will need to arrive at the surgery center/hospital around 6:30am.

Key Requirements:

• Be available at least 2 weekdays a week between 6:30a and 4pm
• Have reliable transportation
• Be prompt
• Be reliable
• Have an interest in clinical research
• Be professional and respectful; this role requires interacting with patients and surgeons
