Schedule: Monday Friday, Day Shift
Memorial Regional Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist with a strong focus in pediatrics to join our rehabilitation team in Craig, Colorado. This full-time role primarily supports outpatient pediatric care, with additional coverage for outpatient adults and occasional subacute inpatient adults , as needed.
You'll be part of a collaborative team of professionals providing high-quality, individualized care to promote independence and enhance quality of life for a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:Evaluate patients and create individualized treatment plans in coordination with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
Help patients develop, regain, or improve physical and cognitive function and adapt to physical limitations or disabilities.
Implement occupational therapy programs that promote skills for daily living, including sensory-motor development, self-care, and social integration.
Provide or recommend adaptive equipment and custom splints, as appropriate.
Monitor and document patient progress using electronic medical records (EMR), following defensible documentation standards.
Collaborate on discharge planning with care teams including physicians, nurses, and social workers.
Educate and mentor patients, families, and staff to support therapy goals and ensure continuity of care.
Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control and safety policies.
Stay up to date with industry best practices through continuing education, workshops, and professional societies.
Participate in departmental training sessions and contribute to staff development initiatives.
Advocate for the field of occupational therapy and participate in continuous quality improvement efforts.
Must be at least 16 years of age (21+ for driving positions)
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Must pass a background check, drug screen, and breath alcohol test (if applicable)
Completion of employee health screening
Active Colorado Occupational Therapy License (DORA) or valid compact license
Current BLS (CPR) certification
Valid Driver's License (required for Home Health assignments only)
