The Department of Political Science and International Relations in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California invites applicants for a practice-track or teaching-track faculty position as The Carmen H. and Louis Warschaw Chair in Practical Politics with an anticipated start date in the Fall of 2025. The successful candidate will serve as Co-Director of the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future (CPF).
The USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future combines rigorous intellectual inquiry with the deep engagement of students and Fellows and conducts conversations and conferences to advance civil dialogue, transcend partisan divisions, and seek solutionsto pressing local, national, and global challenges. Candidates for this position should have a long and distinguished record of high-level, first-hand experience in practical politics at the state and federal level and demonstrable teaching abilities. The annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $250,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
