Your Role as SENCo

🌍 Lead SEN Provision – Oversee the delivery of support for students with special educational needs across all IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP)

🧑‍🏫 Coordinate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) – Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalised learning plans

🔍 Identify and Assess Needs – Identify students who require additional support and coordinate assessment processes

🤝 Collaborate with Staff & Parents – Work with teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for students

🎯 Provide Training & Guidance – Offer training and guidance to staff on best practices for inclusive education and SEN strategies

📈 Monitor Progress – Track and report on the progress of students with SEN, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and support

What We’re Looking For

✅ Qualified and experienced SENCo – Proven experience in leading SEN provision in an international school

✅ Experience with IB programmes (PYP, MYP, or DP) – Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices within the IB framework

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Masters in SEN preferred)

✅ Specialist SEN qualification (e.g., SENCo qualification or similar)

✅ Strong communication & interpersonal skills – Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents

✅ Passion for supporting diverse learners and a commitment to inclusive education

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:

Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Experience:

5 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)

Must be a native speaker of English

Prefer candidates with international experience

Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted

Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted

Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:

A salary   AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification,
