Job Description

Wage Type: Salaried, exempt: Starting Wage (based on experience) $66,000 - $75,000 annualized
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Perform complex payroll, treasury, accounts receivable, and accounts payable reconciliations.
• Provide insights to management for strategic decisions.
• Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of compliance-related documents, including worker's compensation information.
• Audit payroll files to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Oversee annual insurance renewal processes.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants and accounting staff.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function.
• Perform other tasks as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions.
• Ability to lift up to15 pounds is regularly required for filing and other record keeping duties.
• Vision must be sufficient for inputting data into a computer.
• Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office related injuries.  

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

• Indoor office environment. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
