Job Description

What You'll Be Doing:

Supervise, train, schedule and coordinate activities for Warehouse Technicians, Cleanroom Technicians and Inventory Shipping Specialists as applicable for this warehouse. Coordinate with Operations manager to ensure timely and accurate shipments and that all incoming product is placed properly.

Shift:

Sunday- Wednesday 6am – 4:30PM

Scope and Responsibilities:

You will need to be able to:

  • Serve as the work team leader and fills in when team members are absent and as business needs dictate
  • Be responsible for the performance of the team they supervise and that all tasks are performed safely, accurately and on time
  • Be proficient in every job they oversee and will serve as the trainer for those functions; will also ensure Team Members are current on all regulatory and safety training
  • Willing to own the processes that they supervise and ensure that they are properly documented, followed and continually improved
  • Able to balance daily workload and makes necessary adjustments to employee schedules to minimize overtime and total labor costs; approves vacation requests, etc.; accomplishes daily completion targets
  • Responsible for reporting non-conformance and near misses as appropriate and often serves as primary investigator; collaborates with workers and managers to identify and solve work-related problems, participates in Kaizen and/or rapid improvement teams
  • Able to address and/or escalates any potential safety, quality and employee concerns, including injury and accident reporting
  • Able to address personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances when possible, or escalates them to the Manager for resolution
  • Will coach and counsel employees regularly in work-related activities, personal growth, and job enrichment, includes performing and presenting quarterly scorecards, recommends disciplinary action when appropriate
  • Maintain showcase standards ensuring safety and that the warehouse is always ready for presentation
  • Conducts safety, quality or other team meetings, and serves in committee memberships as needed
  • Records defects through POI, cycle times, double check, Paretos and leads efforts to eliminate defects.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but will consider year for year experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in each job function the Supervisor will supervise

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to effectively relate to all levels of employees, and build and maintain successful relationship

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in applicable system programs including Microsoft Word and Excel Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
  • Ability to obtain Rinchem Supervisor Certification
  • Ability to obtain other certifications as required for position
  • Ability to learn and maintain a working knowledge of all regulatory subject matter needed to maintain compliance in warehouse activities
