About Naples Classical Academy:

A Tuition-Free Public Charter Classical School. Naples Classical Academy is a Hillsdale College Member School.

Job Purpose: 

Ensure existing facilities are clean, safe and well maintained. This is a full time, 12 month position with benefits and a 401-K plan. We have AM (day custodian) and PM (night custodian) shifts available as well as part-time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interior- Hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms, multipurpose rooms & cafeteria
• Exterior- Perimeter of school building, parking lot, playground & windows
• Maintenance may include painting, pressure washing and regular system maintenance
• Procure maintenance and cleaning supplies
• Carry and move furniture, equipment and supplies
• Perform specific projects when school is not in session
• Trash- Empty trash from all receptacles
• Dust- Window sills, shelves, desks, furniture & air vents
• Clean and sterilize restroom facilities 
• Clean up bodily messes in accordance with training as needed
• Cafeteria- Remove waste, clean tables and floors after all breakfast and lunch shifts 
• Sterilize high use areas
• Responds to requests for building and maintenance repairs and cleanups
• Various cleaning projects and tasks
• Assist with building preventative maintenance processes and monitoring systems 
• Clean any other area assigned by the supervisor.

Participate successfully in the training programs 

Review developments, literature and janitorial sources of information related to job responsibilities

Ensure adherence to OSHA and safety procedure

Perform duties and responsibilities as delegated by supervisors or Head of School

Follow federal and state laws and company policies

Job Requirements:

• Education- High school graduate or equivalent
• Experience- A minimum of 1 year custodial trade experience preferred
• Special Qualifications- Must possess the above knowledge, skills and abilities as well as requirements below:
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
  • Ability to lift, climb, walk, bend stand and twist continuously
  • Valid driver license
