ProLift Garage Doors of Charleston seeks an experienced Garage Door Installer to perform installations and repairs for the greater Mount Pleasant, SC area. If you have prior experience working as a residential installer and seek a full-time position, please apply. Responsibilities

• Install various types of residential garage doors including retrofit and new construction.
• Products, buildings and applications differ case by case; the candidate must be able to complete installation professionally as it pertains to safety, functionality and performance working within the guidelines of the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

Skills Required

• Previous experience servicing/installing garage doors - knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment and supplies used in the residential garage door service
• Mechanical aptitude – knowledge and skilled in using various hand and power tools
• Able to learn client relationship, dispatching, and invoicing software
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and general public
• Team player and a self-starter
• Coachable with a strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently and efficiently
• Basic math and legible handwriting
• Must have valid drivers' license with clean driving record and be insurable

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of experience that would provide skills and abilities that is necessary to complete the job

Experience

• Door Installation – Minimum 6 months experience (Required)
• Commercial door experience (Preferred but not required)
• Lifestyle screen installation (Preferred but not required)

Job Type: Full-Time

• Pay based on Experience. Negotiable structure - hourly or pay-by-project

License

• Valid Driver's License (Required)
• Must be able to be insured

Physical Demands

Required frequently: Standing, lifting of 50 lbs., carrying 50 lbs., walking, pushing, stooping, climbing, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching above and below shoulder level; full use of hands, good finger dexterity, lifting from floor to waist and twisting of torso. Also includes working in cramped garages, on ladders, and with power tools and performing manual labor in an outside environment, exposed to heat, sun, high humidity, rain and other adverse weather conditions.

License

Compensación: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
