We are undertaking a strategic SAP S/4HANA upgrade using a lift-and-shift approach to transition from ECC to S/4HANA with minimal disruption to existing processes. This initiative aims to modernize our financial systems while preserving core configurations and customizations. We are seeking a seasoned SAP FICO Consultant to support this transition, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational continuity. MUST be Citizen or Greencard holder.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for the SAP FICO upgrade in line with business goals and processes.
Provide expert guidance on the configuration, design, and implementation of SAP FICO (Financial Accounting & Controlling) modules in the context of S/4HANA.
Lead the mapping of current business processes to S/4HANA, ensuring that the solution design aligns with SAP best practices.
Perform system configuration and enhancements within the SAP FICO modules (FI, CO, Asset Accounting, and related sub-modules).
Support data migration, transformation, and validation activities, ensuring smooth transition from legacy systems to S/4HANA.
Assist in the testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues during the upgrade process.
Ensure proper integration between SAP FICO and other modules (MM, SD, etc.), ensuring end-to-end process optimization.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and end-users on S/4HANA FICO functionalities.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation on system configurations, process flows, and upgrade processes.
Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP S/4HANA updates, innovations, and best practices in the FICO domain.
Experience
Candidates should have a solid foundation in computer science or related fields, with experience in the following areas:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP FICO, with at least 2 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA projects.
Strong expertise in SAP FI/CO (Financial Accounting, Controlling, Asset Accounting, Profitability Analysis).
Proven experience in S/4HANA upgrades or S/4HANA Greenfield implementations .
Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, integration points, and migration tools.
Experience with data migration, testing, and troubleshooting in an SAP upgrade environment.
Familiarity with SAP Fiori and how it integrates with FICO functionalities in S/4HANA.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
SAP certifications in FICO modules or S/4HANA (preferred but not required).
